I invested in orissa silver art for one shelf ...fine material identical kettle in another shelf and set of hand painted vase and plates for another ..try to select all the original materials...you can also try human figures made out of iron...

Arranging unwanted shelves

We all have atleast one cemented shelf in our old style constructed house ...now it looks somewhat unwanted in these days so here i am writing some ideas to beautify it ..
Firstly decide whether you want to paint it or textured it ...i tried both ..one shelf was transformed into lavender designed texture in the combination of blocks and floral ...the another one was painted with blue colour matching with my curtains...both ways it looked different and classy 

Beautifying lawn seating area

Hi ..
In my last post i mentioned ways to make seating arrangements in lawn ..today i am going to write on small little things which can make seating arrangement look more creative ..like you can always collect small hanging pots paint them with some good design ...you can also use small birds with nest to highlight the plants ...some old styled lamps and triangular shaped shelves hanged on the walls will definitely add to the beauty ... the smart floral arrangements can be done on the shelves...wind chimes is my all time favourite for outdoor sitting arrangement.

Seating Arrangement in Lawn

When you are done with designing of lawn what is left ? Just a beautiful seating arrangement from where you can admire the beauty of nature ...
I will suggest two options firstly invest in a romantic swing positioned in the centre corner of lawn and dont forget to make the cushioned sofa style seat for maximum comfort and cover it with sheet to enjoy the view even in rains ...also get small table tops fixed on both side to have luxury of having drinks and snacks while swinging ...
Second option is cover a small area with acrylic sheets and place your old favourite sofa set there with centre table ..

Pathway to lawn

Hello ,

Lawn plays an important role in our life ..it set up should be welcoming mood changer and tempting host for guests ..i feel a simple rectangular spread is monotonous so i tried my hands in making a pathway filled with pebbles ..it has differentiated the lawn into two patches plus it can be too fairy tales types as a flowery pathway towards romantic coffee date...images for reference added..

Peace and togetherness time at coffee hut

Hi ..
I am back again with another aspect of lawn designing and that is a coffee hut ..a small cosy place where you can have coffee with your spouse , kids, friends and ofcourse with yourself too ..
This posting of my husband was dangerous as there were end number of snakes and scorpions  but dil hai ki manta nahi ..wanted a coffee hut but at the same time it should meet safety norms ..
So what i decided was not to use traditional  dry "ghas-fhoos" for its roof instead i invested in waterproof thick cloth in two colours and got it stitched alternatively ...got a frame made from local carpenter ..and not to forget gave a cemented flooring so as to avoid creepy creatures ....

Lawn makeup

Good morning all ..

Hope you liking my little ideas on lawn decoration ..today we will do its makeup ..yes you read it right ..

I am a big fan of handmade stuff so i tried artisians hands on halloween pumpkins and tempting mushrooms made out of poly resins ...and arranged them in the entrance of the lawn instead of those commonly used lawn lights ...and yes this makeup changed the overall look of the place ..have a look with attached pictures taken at different hours.
